The aim of the design for the AMC College in Maroussi, is to create a unified contemporary identity, by redesigning the outer shell of the extension as well as the existing building of the campus. By creating a unified outdoor and indoor environment the identity of the college itself would be accentuated. 
The envelope of the new building is a system of wooden profiles with varied distance between them, covering the entire facade leaving just the openings of the building uncovered. In contrast, in the existing building, the wooden profiles are placed in front of the openings at a greater distance in between them, in order to function as a shading device.
